There are two parallel housing movements that I have been thinking about recently. The first is “Tiny Houses” and the other is “Low-Impact” homes. Both have admirable merits and a friend of mine mentioned that it reminded him of the “prairie homesteaders” that passed through here in the early days of the U.S. advance to the west.

Green TV Guide (aka Watersana) released a video of John Ward discussing thoughts on ecological degradation and past Utopian ideals back on November 30th, 2006.
I came across this video by chance because it mentions “Henry Dreyfuss” but found the whole thing very interesting. The video is titled “‘Are Your Dogs Warm?” and aside from thoughts on global warning, Jack suggests that apathy for both the past and future has lead to many of our “less than ideal” conditions of today.
